R&B superstar Mary J. Blige is late to her concert tonight in Tuscaloosa.
"For the past several hours, Mary J. Blige has been grounded on the tarmac in Teterboro, New Jersey due to flight delays surrounding Hurricane Arthur," said city spokesperson Deidre Stalnaker in an email to FOX6 News.
"At 6:45 p.m.," the statement went on to say, "MJB went wheels-up and is headed to Tuscaloosa which means she is expected to be on stage at 10:00 p.m. MJB didn't quit on Tuscaloosa and we are not going to quit on her. It is going to be a great show."
Blige's concert is slated to start at 8 tonight at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater.
Red Mountain Entertainment announced the concert back in April.
