You could easily describe today's weather with three H's - hot, hazy, and humid. The heat is going to be the big issue today with the heat index reaching over 100 degrees. While we're not going to be breaking any records today, this is the hottest day so far this season. We'll see temperatures easily in the mid 90s during the afternoon.
The best advice is to stay out of the heat for long periods of
time today and make sure you stay hydrated. Drinking lots of water is the
best way to do that. If you must stay in the heat - it would be a good
idea to take some cool down breaks throughout the day.
Visibility will continue to be a bit of an issue due to Saharan
dust that has managed to travel thousands of miles and settle across the
Southeast. An approaching trough of low pressure should help give us
clearing skies and some cooler temperatures.
The good news is heat will take a bit of a break Thursday through
Sunday. Expect highs in the mid 80s. We should have a rain free 4th
