Huntsville man connected to 'Hood Dynasty' case arrested

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A Huntsville man wanted in a credit card fraud investigation linked to a Birmingham-area rap group is in custody.

Eric Jose Azcona surrendered to authorities June 9 and is in the Jefferson County Jail.

Azcona faces dozens of charges including theft of property, identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit or debit card, and trafficking stolen identities.

With his surrender, only one suspect connected to the group known has Hood Dynasty is still sought by authorities.

Investigators uncovered what they called an elaborate network of credit and debit card fraud spanning the entire country with a large concentration of activity along the Interstate 65 corridor between Birmingham and Huntsville.

Azcona's attorney filed a motion for bond in his case Wednesday.
