Rite Aid distribution center closing in Tuscaloosa by 2016

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

More than 200 people working in Tuscaloosa will soon lose their job.

Rite Aid announced it will close a distribution center on Rice Mine Road by 2016. The closure affects 250 people.

The Tuscaloosa News reports it's one of three distribution centers being closed and consolidated into one in either Georgia or North Carolina.

Employees were warned of the closure weeks ago.
