3 arrested for trafficking meth, heroin in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies were already serving a warrant to an alleged drug-dealer when they found more drugs and a weapon.

Deputies went to a home in the 1000 block of Huffman Road to arrest a man for distribution of a controlled substance on Wednesday.

When they went to the apartment, they found 82 grams of meth, 12 grams of heroin a handgun and money. The drugs were valued at around $10,000.

Three men who were in the apartment have been charged with trafficking meth and heroin.

The suspects are identified as 32-year-old Cesar Cobos of Pelham, 39-year-old Mario Hernandez of Huffman and 31-year-old Saul Uscanga of Tarrant.

They each have a bond of $500,000 and are being held in the Jefferson County Jail.
