The following comments were generated from an editorial by FOX6 WBRC-TV General Manager Lou Kirchen, which first aired on Tuesday, May 6, 2014.

This country's in one big mess because people don't pay attention. We just go out and vote and don't pay attention to what we are getting in to. Politicians don't care about us, they only care about themselves.

Martha Gardendale

If we don't have people trained in those jobs, we are losing and out people should be held accountable for the things that they are doing wrong. We as a people have to work for a paycheck, these people need to do the same thing.

Gilbert Birmingham

The way we rear our children seems to be a long ways away from the way we were reared ourselves. When a parent fails to raise a child and have a child be able to take care of themselves then the blame falls on the parent. We have too many children that are raised today with the latest technology and don't have personal responsibilities and chores around the house.

Lynn Empire

If we 'lose the farm' then we have nobody to blame but ourselves. Because we're the ones who taught our children, our grandchildren, our nieces, our nephews and if we didn't take the time to teach them right and I don't mean just showing them how to do something. You teach when you do something.
