Thieves steal expensive items in 1 night's series of home break-ins

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo police are investigating a string of robberies with some similarities. They have been happening in the same general area of the city. Three happened on Wednesday night alone.

Police say even though these crimes are similar, they cannot say if the same suspect or suspects committed the crimes.

The break-ins happened within a 2-mile radius in central Toledo. Thieves hit homes on Conrad, Oakwood and Hamilton. Every time, the suspects kicked in the doors and got away with big ticket items. In each case, electronics, cash, jewelry and clothing were stolen.

The house on Oakwood was hit the hardest. Burglars took a washer, dryer, stove and water heater.

At this point, police are not saying these three break-ins are related.
