The city of Tuscaloosa has begun a free, drop-off electronic recycling program for all those in west Alabama.
Electronics can be dropped off at the Richard A. Curry Environmental Services Complex located at 3340 Kauloosa Avenue Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Items will not be accepted after hours, on weekends, on city holidays or at drop-off recycling trailers or curbside recycling.
Electronics accepted for recycling:
UPS battery back-up
Keyboards and mice
Cell phones and chargers
Inkjet cartridges and laser printer toner
Tablets and PDAs
Networking equipment switches, hubs, firewall, modems, computer boards

When you arrive at the Curry building, park in the designated spot and enter the building to let the staff know what type of electronics you wish to recycle. The staff will then collect the items from your vehicle.
