CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Does video show crime at Richmond school?

A new video is making the rounds on Facebook. A concerned citizen captured images of men who he claims are up to no good. Richmond Police say they are aware of the video. It was allegedly captured at Huguenot High School.

"Please help!" wrote a concerned citizen on Facebook. "Anyone out there know these 2 kids that are up to no good. My security cameras picked up this short video. If you do not know them please share. Let's put Facebook to work and catch these kids."

But did they do anything wrong?

"They're on the property after dark," said NBC12 legal analyst Steve Benjamin. "It's the crime of trespassing."

The video claims this happened at a work trailer at the high school. We spoke to school officials who say there is no way to tell definitively, but Richmond Police tell us they will be keeping a closer eye on the area surrounding the school.

"Even if there is no sign that says no trespassing after dark," noted Benjamin."It's a crime."

Benjamin notes this could impact any of us.

"I really don't think people who go run on school tracks or walk their dogs on school property mean to break the law," said Benjamin. "If you go on school or church property after dark without are breaking the law."

If you saw anything suspicious give police call. You are asked to contact Lt. John Garcia at 804-646-1944.
