All Around Town Catering Crimson and White Grits MIni Bar

All Around Town Catering Crimson and White Grits MIni Bar - Noon cooking, March 17, 2014

 

3 cups water

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken stock[I have some Cornish game stock so I won't need salt]

1 cup McEwen's Crimson and White Grits

2 Tbsp butter

 

Toppings for bar

1/4 lb Italian sausage

1/2 cup bacon bits

1 cup cheese[I am using pepper jack and blueberry vanilla goat cheese]

Sauteed mushrooms

Sauteed onions

Grilled peppers

 

Bring water and stock to a boil.Add butter and grits.Bring to a boil and reduce,cover,and simmer for 20 minutes.Stirring occasionally,check the consistency and if you have add water or cream it just gets better.Scoop into desired cup or bowl and top with your favorite toppings.They are fantastic.
