Henry County murder suspect arrested in Chicago

The Henry County medical examiner performed an autopsy on Sheray Felton's body, Monday.

The day after Chicago police arrested her husband, Joseph Felton, after a 9 hour-long standoff with police .

Officers found Joseph Felton at a relative's house in a Chicago suburb Sunday at about 12:30 p.m.

Joseph Felton eluded police in the car in which he'd left Georgia, in a chase eventually ending with SWAT teams surrounding and arresting him late Sunday night.

Sheray Felton's relatives forced their way into the couple's home on the 1000 block of Spaniel Terrace Road in Hampton Saturday afternoon. They found her dead and called police.

The couple had just moved to Georgia from Chicago four months ago. Neighbors said they never really saw them.

"I don't know them, but there was an incident here on New Year's Day, and the police was here and everything," one neighbor told CBS46, preferring to stay anonymous.

Henry County Police Sgt. Joey Smith confirmed police had been to the couple's home.

"There is a history here at this location in reference to family violence, or domestic violence. Mr. Felton does have a previous arrest for that," Smith said.

Police aren't saying how Sheray Felton died.
