The Fox6 Weather Team is tracking our rain chances hour-by-hour

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - A large swath of precipitation continues to grow across Texas and Oklahoma and as low pressure shift eastward, so will widespread rain and storms.
Saturday looks fairly dry with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Because the flow is a warm, moist and slightly buoyant one across Alabama, isolated showers can't be ruled out.

Steady and heavy rain at times moves in tonight and lingers through most of Sunday morning. The intensity and coverage lets up during the afternoon hours. The chance for rain before noon is 100% and rumbles of thunder are possible. The chance for rain after 12pm Sunday is 40% and widely scattered showers and storms will be possible. Lows in the 50s and highs in the lower 70s.
On Monday, the cold core and upper level portion of the storm system swings through and produces clouds, cooler temperatures and off and on rain.   Green on the radar will be fitting for St. Patrick's Day and our lawn and gardens get lucky with some beneficial moisture.  So cheers to rain showers bringing spring flowers!
Event rainfall totals will range from 1"-2" with locally up to 3" possible.  Lows in the 40s and highs in the 50s.
