Four years after the Gulf oil spill, a political action committee associated with BP oil company is contributing to Alabama politicians' campaign.
According to reports, campaign contribution reports show a BP employee PAC gave $1,000 to Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley, $2,000 to House Speaker Mike Hubbard, and $500 each to multiple members of the Alabama House of Representatives and Senate.
A company spokesperson says that BP employees are interested in energy and business issues in Alabama, and the company supports 2,600 jobs in Alabama.
Bp operates a chemical plant in Decatur that is one of the city's largest employers.
