Man drowns while fly fishing in Little Cahaba River

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The body of a drowning victim in the Little Cahaba River has been recovered.

The man's body was found around 5 p.m. Sunday.  Authorities say the victim and another man were fly fishing on Sunday when the victim slipped into the water.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's department, along with several area fire deparments, responded to the scene.

The man's identity has not yet been released.
