A former football player for the University of Alabama is the target of an arrest warrant, according to Mississippi television station WDAM-TV.
Terry Grant, 26, is wanted in Hattiesburg, MS after he ran from authorities Tuesday during a traffic stop. Authorities told WDAM that Grant fled into the woods and dropped a bag he was carrying as he tried to jump a fence.
Investigators say the bag contained a large amount of powdered cocaine. Grant is now wanted on drug charges.
Grant, a Mississippi native, played for the Crimson Tide from 2006 to 2009 as a running back. He graduated from UA, but his injury-plagued career with the Tide ended after he decided not to return for a fifth year of eligibility.

He later played in the Canadian Football League, according to WDAM, and was recently invited to a mini rookie camp for the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs.
