BIBB COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

A family in Bibb County has lost a five-year-old child, following a crash near Centreville on Friday afternoon.

A report from Alabama State Troopers says it happened on Hopewell Church Road, four miles north of Centreville, about 4 p.m. Jan. 10. Six additional people were injured, including three children and three adults. Everyone involved is from West Blocton.

At last check, a male and female adult were still listed in critical condition at DCH.and the female driver is listed in fair condition. The injured children were ages 11, 8 and 8. There is no update on their conditions. Troopers have released the names of some of those involved: 31-year-old David Parks, 29-year-old Caitlin Parks and 31-year-old Kathy Jones.

A small, white wooden cross is now up at the site of the tragic crash with the name ‘Izzy Parks' on it. Neighbors tell us she is the 5-year-old little girl who died in the accident.

Jacqueline Richardson, a woman who lives nearby and rushed to the scene on Friday says this horrific accident still has this entire community shaken up.

"We are a small community and we are all like family. When one hurts, it hurts all of us. So, it was like it was my family," said Richardson.

The 1995 Chevrolet Trailblazer they were traveling in was the only vehicle involved. The troopers' report says no one was wearing a seatbelt. Troopers have not yet determined what caused the deadly crash, but a full report should be released on Tuesday.
