Here is what you saw on Good Day Alabama for January 6, 2013:
WINTER WEATHER - We brought you updates all morning on the bitter cold weather conditions here and across much of the country. For the latest weather conditions, visit myfoxtracker.com.
JEH JEH LIVE - Jeh Jeh joined us live from Boutwell Auditorium where a warming station is set up to keep people out of these bitter cold temperatures. The warming station will be open through Wednesday. The city "does" need donations to care for those in the shelter. You can help by dropping off bottled water, canned goods, dried beans, rice, men and women's underwear, toiletries, and lip balm!
DUBBERLY LIVE - Mike Dubberly joined us live from California where Auburn and Florida State fans and football teams gear up for tonight's National Championship Game.
SUGAR SMART DIET - The average American consumes a whopping 130 pounds of added sugar each year. That's two-thirds of a cup of sugar every single day! And it's not just from supersized cheesecakes or monstrous Frappacinos. Sugar - the pure, sweet substance once only found in obvious treats like a bowl of ice cream - is hiding in places you'd never expect. Food manufacturers are including it by the spoonful in pasta sauces, "healthy" breads, cereals, yogurts, soups, frozen entrees and more. THE SUGAR SMART DIET: Stop Cravings And Lose Weight While Still Enjoying The Sweets You Love! will help you free yourself from sugar overload. Complete with a revolutionary 32-day diet plan to outsmart hidden sugar and the powerful hold it has on both a person's body and mind, THE SUGAR SMART DIET helps readers combat cravings with whole foods, physical activity and emotional coping strategies. We talked with Editorial Director of Prevention Anne Alexander about
