ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

One of Santa's helpers visited the International Studies Elementary Charter School this afternoon to spread some Christmas cheer.

A Albany 911 supervisor saw a need to help kids in need stay warm on cold days.

Wylene Rowe was picking her son up at a bus stop on a cold day and noticed some children without warm clothes. Rowe along with a school counselor and other school officials distributed hats, gloves, and clothes to 28 kids.

She says it's all about filling a need and seeing the smiles on the faces warms her heart.

John Davis is the Asst. Head of School  and says: "We are so appreciative to Ms Rowe and to the 911 center for their help and support in helping to bless our students."

Wylene Rowe, says "this gives me all kinds of joy and pleasure to know I've done something to light up a child's face get a smile it's just a wonderful feeling."

This is the second year Rowe has spread some winter joy to the students.
