Jingle Bell Jam draws good crowd despite rain

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Despite the rain, The Jingle Bell Jam at Austin's Fire Grill on Old Dawson Rd. went on as planned Saturday.

Tents were set up as dozens of people listened to music from three bands, including the Kinchafoonee Cowboys, the Jodi Mann Band, and Highway 55.

Gates opened at 5 this evening. All the proceeds will benefit the Darton College Foundation.

"Were happy to be here. Darton College is a real asset to the community and the community needs to know it and come out and support it," says Glenn Tennyson, the lead singer of the Kinchafoonee Cowboys.

The proceeds will help with scholarships and community programs.
