First Alert Weather: Clearing & colder tonight and Monday
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Much cooler and drier weather moves in as we start the work week. Late in the week warmer temperatures return. Our next shower chance is next weekend.
MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY: Cold mornings return with readings in the 30's, so grab a coat. Each day will be sunny and cool with highs in the mid 50's to near 60.
THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY: Milder weather as cool high pressure moves offshore. A return southerly flow will boost afternoon highs into the mid 60's Thursday and near 70 Friday. Lows will moderate back into the 40's and 50's. Each day will be mostly to partly sunny.
NEXT WEEKEND: The next front approaches from the west. It will be mild but unsettled. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with a shot at isolated to scattered showers. Highs will be in the low 70's and lows in the mid 50's.
