BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -
The City of Birmingham announced Tuesday it will open up Boutwell Auditorium as a warming station for the next three nights.
The auditorium will be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next day.
Donations of water bottles, snacks, socks and blankets are still needed. All donations can be dropped off at Boutwell Auditorium, which is located at 1930 Reverend Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd. in Birmingham.
City leaders say around 125 people usually stay overnight in the auditorium when it's open as a warming station.
The lows during the next three days are in expected to be in the upper 20s for the Birmingham area.
