Iron Bowl 2013 ticket prices soaring

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

Ticket prices to the hottest college football game in the country continue to climb.

This year's Iron Bowl is still a week and a half out, but with Auburn's win over Georgia and Alabama still ranked No. 1, there's a lot of smack talk going on.

Ricardo Louis' amazing catch means for the first time, the winner of the Iron Bowl is guaranteed a spot in the SEC championship game, also giving them the chance to play in the BCS National Championship.

This is turning into the hottest Iron Bowl ticket ever.

"This is probably going to be the most expensive ticket we've ever seen for the Iron Bowl," Candice Carden, a broker with Capstone Tickets in Tuscaloosa said.

Carden says prices for Iron Bowl tickets went up immediately after the Auburn-Georgia game. Prices are up about $100 in just a week's time, Carden said.

Today online, we found prices for single tickets ranging from nearly $460 to almost $1400 a piece.
