Search ongoing for armed robber in Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A gunman is on the run after robbing a McDonald's overnight.

Police say a man wearing a blue fanny pack pulled a gun on employees at 4041 Nolensville Pike just after 10 p.m. Sunday.

The man demanded money from the safe and fled.

Police searched the area with a K-9 team but did not find the gunman.

The suspect is described as a black male with shoulder-length dreadlocks who is 5'7" and weighs between 150 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue shirt over his mouth and the top of his head, a black hoodie, gray sweatpants and a blue fanny pack.

    The principal of Hanceville High School in Cullman County is not wanting to take any chances after a recent school shooting in Florida.
