JONESBORO, Ark. (AStateRedWolves.com) – Arkansas State University men's basketball head coach John Brady has announced the signing of six student-athletes to national letters of intent this Wednesday (Nov. 13) and the group will join the Red Wolves men's basketball program with the start of the 2014-15 season.
Connor Kern (Pickerington, Ohio/Central), Frederic Dure (Montreal, Quebec/Sheridan College, ), Isiah "Hoopy" Jones (Pulaski, Ill./Odessa JC), Adam Ward (Humble, Texas/Lee JC), Charles Waters (Memphis, Tenn./Southwest Tennessee JC), and Ronnie White (Memphis, Tenn./Paris JC) comprise the six-member A-State recruiting class to date.
"These six players will all add to our continued growth and success of the program here at Arkansas State," said Brady, who's currently in his sixth year at A-State. "With this incoming class along with what we will have coming back (next season), we feel very good about the future of the program."
A-State's early-signing class consists of three guards, two forwards, and a center. Five of the six Red Wolves' signees are currently competing in the junior college ranks.
Arkansas State has registered double-digit victory totals in 15 of its last 17 seasons to date and claimed the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) West Division Championship title for the second time in the last three seasons this past 2012-13 campaign.
