Macy's Parade tests out new giant balloons

Macy's annual Thanksgiving Day Parade is still a few weeks off, but the organizers are already performing test flights of four new giant balloons.

They are Snoopy and Woodstock, Adventure Time's Finn and Jake, "How to Train Your Dragon" star 'Toothless,' and Spongebob Squarepants.

During the test flights, the parade's executive producer Amy Kule talked about the manpower needed to fly the balloons on the big day.

"There are 8,000 volunteers that are going to be on the ground in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade," Kule said, "and under each one of these balloons, we can have up to 90 people - strong, well-trained, really excited people that are going to fly these balloons in about 19 days."

Macy's annual parade has been going on since 1924.
