MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Military veterans can get into Alabama state parks for free over the Veterans Day holiday weekend.
Park officials say veterans won't have to pay for admission to any of Alabama's 22 state parks from Saturday through Monday, which is Veterans Day.
Parks Director Greg Lein says the free admission is a way to honor veterans for their service.
Vets don't have to provide any identification; officials say anyone who indicates they're a veteran will be admitted into the parks without charge.
