Birmingham doctor's office burglarized 3 times in a week

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

A Birmingham doctor is trying to recover after her practice was burglarized not just once, not twice, but three times in a week.

Doctor Anjanetta Foster owns Birmingham Family Wellness in West End. Her husband's personal fitness clinic is also part of the business.

Someone has broken into it and the clinic, stealing laptops, prescription pads, and more than $20,000. The thieves used bricks to bust the windows and left behind large amounts of blood from the glass shards.

Foster shut down her business this week to deal with the mess. She says most of her patients live in West End, but the burglaries have made her question if she will remain in the community.

"That's one of the biggest, saddest questions. I don't know at this point. I want to, but my staff is scared. My kids are scared for me to be here. It's going to take a lot to keep us here," Foster says.

She says the building has cameras but they don't cover the areas where thieves broke in. Her office also has an alarm but the thieves were able to get in and out without being caught.

If you have any information about this case, you are asked to call Birmingham Police immediately.
