It was Marines versus military affairs at Stonebridge Country Club today.
The 2013 Salty Sandbagger tournament teed off Wednesday.
Marines competed against military affairs officials and community leaders for annual bragging rights.
It was also the first Sandbagger tournament for new MCLB Commanding Officer Major General John Broadmeadow.
The major general says it's a great way to connect the community and the base as one.
"This is a lot of fun to see the camaraderie around the golf course, and the camaraderie around the clubhouse," says Major General Broadmeadow. "That's a lot of fun, and obviously its pretty indicative of how the community gets along the people on the base and vice versa."
There were prizes given out not just for the winning team, but also for closest to the pin and longest drive.
