FAYETTE COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

Authorities say that the four people arrested in the Tuscaloosa K9 Camp raid are now charged with animal cruelty.

Heather Litz, owner, Bryan McQueen, camp trainer, Nancy Vance and Charles Vance were arrested earlier this week on drug charges.

Chief Agen Richard White with the 24th Judicial Task Force tells FOX6 News that the four are now charged with 20 counts of animal cruelty each. They remain in the Fayette County Jail.

Authorities say this week's raid was the result of a month-long investigation. When FOX6 visited the camp Thursday, reporter Josh Gauntt found multiple crates with dogs inside stacked in a house and outdoor pens overgrown with weeds.

Investigators say they also found two dead dogs in a freezer.
