The Tuscaloosa Police Department says they have made an arrest in connection to last week's robbery at the Shrimp Basket restaurant.
The robbery happened on October 18 around 10:30 p.m. at 3429 East McFarland Boulevard. Employees say the suspect was holding a handgun outside of the back door when they opened the door to take out the trash. The suspect allegedly went into the restaurant and demanded money. Police say he didn't get any money and ran out the back door. Employees say all customers had left the restaurant at the time.
An investigation led police to charge 19-year-old Timothy Cornell Lipscomb Jr. with one count of 1st degree robbery. Lipscomb was arrested on Thursday. He is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $60,000 bond.
