Police investigating fatal shooting in north Toledo

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Police are beginning a homicide investigation after a death on Spring Street in north Toledo.

Police were called to the scene around 7:50 p.m. Wednesday. A woman was found in front of the home at 658 Spring. Officials attempted to resuscitate her but she died of what police believe was a gunshot wound.

Another woman was found injured nearby. Police believe the injury and death are related, but did not say if the injured woman was shot. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made at this time but police say they are interviewing potential witnesses.
