Selma woman killed in single-vehicle crash

SELMA, AL (WSFA) -

The Alabama Department of Public Safety says it is investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Selma woman Monday.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. on Alabama Hwy. 140 approximately 11 miles east of Selma.

Investigators say Laporcha Tyesha Hosea, 30, was seriously injured when the 2004 Chevy Impala she was driving left the roadway and overturned. Hosea, who was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected.

Authorities say Hosea died soon after being transported to Vaughn Medical Center in Selma.

Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
