TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

Tuscaloosa police are investigating the armed robbery of two University of Alabama graduate students.

It happened early Monday morning in the parking lot of University Village.

Student Li Yang says the suspect walked up, held a gun out and demanded her purse. Another student was told to give up his backpack.

The students were returning to their apartment after a long night of studying at the campus library when the suspects approached.

Officers say they have few clues to go on.
