Tuscaloosa police arrested two women on prostitution charges after conducting an undercover investigation last week.
Sgt. Brent Blankley with TPD says the investigation focused on escorts found on a website.
Officers arrested two suspects for solicitation of prostitution, one suspect for outstanding warrants and one suspect for possession of a controlled substance. Blankley says they also identified five prostitutes and one pimp at a hotel who were previously unknown to the police officers.
Police conducted the undercover detail on Thursday, October 3. On Monday, the police department released the names and mug shots of two women arrested in the bust.
Elizabeth Lynn Houge, 19, from Marietta, Ga. was arrested on one count of solicitation of prostitution. She is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $500 bond.
Starlett May Lehti, 34, from Fairburn, Ga. was arrested on one count of solicitation of prostitution. She is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $500 bond.
Sgt. Blankley says additional charges of possession of a controlled substance are pending.
