A Tuscaloosa County School is postponing its homecoming after a student was seriously injured in a car accident.
Olivia Mills, 17, is in a medically induced coma. Friends tell FOX6 that she was leaving church last Sunday when she was in a vehicle accident on Highway 82.
She was recently nominated to the homecoming court and in light of her accident, the homecoming festivities have been postponed for two weeks.
Her family continues to post updates on her progress to the Pray for Olivia Mills Facebook page. Around 1:30 p.m. Friday, her loved ones posted that her vital signs were stable. However, an EEG done Thursday showed no brain activity.
FOX6 is told that all of the football players will wear purple socks to honor Mills. Purple is her favorite color.
