A mother is in jail on Friday, accused of leaving her young son in a car while she shoplifted, according to authorities.
Police said Ladonna Blunt went into the Wal-Mart on Dickerson Pike and stole a shirt.
While she did that, police said Blunt left her 2-year-old son in the car by himself.
Police said witnesses saw the toddler rolling down the window, and he tried to jump out of the car.
Blunt has been charged with child neglect and theft.
