HOMEWOOD, AL (WBRC) -

At least two units of a west Homewood apartment complex were heavily damaged by a fire on Monday morning.

Just before 8 a.m., Homewood firefighters responded to the Abbey at Boulder Ridge apartment complex on Aspen Circle just off of West Valley Avenue.

Two units in building 46 had extensive fire and smoke damage, and as many as eight units may have been impacted by the fire.

There were no reported injuries. The Homewood Fire Department said around 10:30 a.m. the fire was under control.
