Investigators said they're getting closer to catching a bold burglar who is entering Cullman and Morgan County homes when the owners are away. One homeowner caught the man on camera.

The photos show the burglar breaking in through the front door wearing black gloves, a baseball hat and T-shirt. The man looks into the camera several times, giving police a pretty clear look at his face.

The Cullman County Sheriff believes the man may be responsible for several burglaries in the area because they all meet similar descriptions. The man waits until you leave the house and makes his way inside.

In one home, he took about $5,000 worth of jewelry. A victim's daughter said the man also took their sense of security. "My childhood has been invaded upon," she said. "My sense of family, sense of home has been invaded upon. And it doesn't feel safe in the daytime, even just walking around."

If you know who the man in the picture is or where he might be, you're asked to call the Cullman County Sheriff's Office.
