A man wanted in connection with an early-morning, high-speed chase has been arrested.

Juston Hulett was arrested by Rincon Police Monday afternoon at a hotel in Pooler after being spotted at a Hardee's in the area.

Dash cam video obtained by WTOC shows how Port Wentworth police tried to pull over a speeding car on Interstate 95 southbound. Instead of stopping, the driver in the SUV takes off, leading police on a chase that ended at the Walmart in Pooler.

"The officer, being cautious of the safety of the people in the store as well as the people in the parking lot, waited until other officers arrived because he was by himself before going into the store to look for the suspect," said Sgt. Steven Holmes, with the Port Wentworth Police Dept.

Police said the suspect was identified as 27-year-old Juston Hulett. He can be seen in Walmart surveillance video running in to the store. The video shows him grabbing a shirt off the rack, putting it on and exiting the store.

"He walks back out the front of the store talking on his cell phone and walks right past officers as he does so," said Holmes.

It turns out, the SUV Hullet was driving was stolen from Rincon. Rincon police are handling that part of the investigation.
