Tuscaloosa's elections for city council and city school board are just about three weeks away. This week, voters have a chance to hear from the people on the ballot.
On Monday night, a forum will be held for the school board candidates and, later this week, city council candidates.
Monday night's forum is hosted by the local chapter of the NAACP and the coordinator says it is a chance to talk about the serious questions people have about what's happening in the city.
The NAACP says 12 candidates will be on the panel. That is all of the candidates who are running for opposed seats. The organizer says no one has seen the questions that will be asked, and questions from the audience will also be collected.
For the city council forum, ten candidates are expected to participate.
Tonight's forum is at Central High School. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the forum starts at 6:30 p.m. The city council forum will be at the same time and place on Thursday.
