A Brighton homeowner is getting much needed help after Wednesday's storm.
A tree heavily damaged Vincent Petty's home on McDonald Street. Petty doesn't have a lot of money to remove the tree and the city of Brighton can't do any work on private property.
Still, Brighton City Councilman Landy Warren arrived to help remove some of the storm debris on his own.
"This is just something I've been doing all my life trying to help people out anyway. This young man is in a desperate situation. Just trying to get some guys together to come out and help out at least off his house anyway." Warren said.
Petty tells FOX6 News the American Red Cross is coming out to see if they provide help with a possible place to stay.
