Hoover Police need your help catching a suspected burglar caught on camera breaking in to a home off Spearman Drive.
Because of the homeowner's high tech security system, the images of the suspect are very clear showing details like his tattoos. Hoover Police have put the images on Facebook in the hopes that someone knows who the suspect is.
Neighbor Bob Shill says there have been three burglaries and robberies nearby since January.
"I think it's wonderful this guy got a picture of the guy," Shill said. "That would have been great if we could have done it at the other two places."
The system installed by the homeowner includes the latest security technology, which has come a long way over the years.
Glenn Davis with Best Buy says most of them are simple to hook up, store data on massive back up systems and most contain motion sensors so if someone comes onto your property, the system will alert you immediately.
"It could send you a tweet," Davis said. "It could send you an email. Most have apps and will notify you of a disturbance and where it's been."
Depending on how much coverage you want, systems run between $100 and $500. It's something Shill is glad to know about.
"I would feel more secure," he said. "I will look into it. I sure will."
