BETH K - UAB nutritionist Dr. Beth Kitchin joined us this morning to talk about men and Osteoporosis. We think of osteoporosis as a woman's disease - but men get it too.  Last week, the golfer Brent Snedeker revealed that he is taking an osteoporosis drug called Forteo that is injected into the skin of the abdomen or the thigh. We don't know what his diagnosis is - but it does bring up the reality that men do get osteoporosis. What are the symptoms and risk factors for men? Much the same as women - family history of osteoporosis, over age 50,  low body weight/thinness, drinking too much alcohol, not enough calcium & vitamin d,  smoking , weight loss, lack of weight bearing exercise, & taking certain medicines such as corticosteroids. There are lot of things you can do to keep your bones healthy - exercising, not overdoing alcohol, not smoking,  and getting enough calcium & vitamin D - you may need supplements. If you are at risk, you should talk to your doctor about your risk and get tested - you may need medications like Brent Snedeker! Osteoporosis is a disease where lifestyle habits can help but if you have a lot of risk factor, healthy habits may not be enough to prevent or treat the disease - luckily , the medications available to treat osteoporosis can work in both women and men!

THE HEIST - #1 New York Times bestselling author Janet Evanovich and acclaimed novelist and TV writer Lee Goldberg brought us "THE HEIST" - the first in an electrifying, new series. It's described as the Thomas Crown Affair meets Ocean's Eleven meets Miss Congeniality with a splash of Moonlighting mixed in. FBI Special Agent Kate O'Hare won't stop until she captures international con artist Nicolas Fox. But just when Kate has finally gotten her man, Nick pulls off the greatest con of all: he convinces the FBI to offer him a job-working with Kate to catch criminals even more dangerous than him. In this ultimate cat-and-mouse game with non-stop action, exotic locales, popcorn thrills, fast-paced dialogue and lots of Toblerone chocolate bars, Evanovich and Goldberg have created a phenomenal new series and characters you'll want to follow to Indonesia and back again!

MONSTERS UNIVERSITY - Sarah talked with actress Julia Sweeney the new "Monsters University" - the latest film from Disney. In Monsters University, ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a scarer-and he knows better than anyone that the best scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike's plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, "Sulley" (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born scarer. The pair's out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University's elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.

Screaming with laughter and oozing with heart, Disney•Pixar's "Monsters University" is directed by Dan Scanlon ("Cars," "Mater and the Ghostlight," "Tracy"), produced by Kori Rae ("Up," "The Incredibles," "Monsters, Inc.") and features music from future Rock-and-Roll-Hall-of-Fame-inductee and award winning composer Randy Newman ("Monsters, Inc.," "Toy Story 3"). For more information, visit "Monsters University" opens in theaters nationwide on Friday. It is rated G.

WILDLIFE EXPERT - Stuart R. Goldsby is the Regional Hunter Education Coordinator for Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries. He discussed ticks and Lyme Disease. He says it's important for anyone to be aware of ticks - not just hunters, but anyone that goes outdoors. Bite Prevention can be accomplished by mowing grass to less than 3 inches, keeping pets treated and close, keeping wildlife away by feeding birds over bare ground, planting plants deer do not like. Also you can wear big hats, long sleeves, long pants inside your socks, while outside in areas where ticks may occur. They like warm, moist area. You can apply a Deet product to exposed skin, and a Permethrin product to clothes only, remove clothes before coming inside and do personal body check of creases of body and warmer areas of the body. The two most common concerns from ticks are Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and Lyme Disease.
