16th Street Baptist celebrates 140 years

The 16th Street Baptist Church continues to be a source of inspiration 140 years after it was founded. The church celebrated the anniversary yesterday.

Despite racial turmoil of the civil rights era, including the 1963 bombing that killed four little girls, the doors are still open and the church is still thriving. A couple of visitors traveled all the way from Philadelphia to be part of the historic occasion.

Sunday's service featured a guest pastor from Philadelphia as well as a concert from the Spellman Glee Club Choir.
