Birmingham police arrest 5 in Roebuck spa bust

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Birmingham vice detectives arrested five people at a spa in the Roebuck area after executing a search warrant.

Detectives arrested five people at the Bali Spa at 9533 Parkway East on Friday morning around 11:30 a.m. Those five people include the spa's owner, three employees and one customer. Investigators also seized more than $10,000 and a video surveillance system from the spa.

Birmingham police released the suspects' names and charges Friday afternoon:

-Josh Palmer, 40, of Columbiana - loitering for prostitution

-Soon Lim, 37, of Korea - loitering for prostitution

-Mi Young Knichel, 40, of Lakewood, WA - loitering for drugs

-Buy Park, 37, of Flushing, NY - loitering for drugs

-Soon Ae Corado, 46, of Los Angeles, CA - opening house of prostitution and doing business without a license

Police say although the female suspects have listed addresses from different states, they are all originally from Korea. All five suspects are in custody of the Birmingham City Jail.
