BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -
The NWS has issued a flood warning for Calhoun County after heavy rains moved through the area.
Local storm reports indicate flooding in the Oxford and Anniston areas. The NWS reports water runoff with a depth of six inches covering Hwy 78. There are also reports of cars being flooded and impassible secondary roads.
Calhoun County is under a flash flood warning until 6 p.m. Cherokee County is under a flash flood warning until 6:30 p.m.
In Cherokee County, there are reports of quarter size hail in Spring Garden and Forney, as well as flooding near Centre over County Road 162 just east of Highway 9.
