Family left homeless after house fire

A family is homeless after fire destroyed their house. The fire happened in Zion in Pickens County last week.

Chris McCool, the district attorney for Pickens and Fayette Counties, owns the home. His farm hand Kenny Thomas lived in the home with his two children ages ten and seven. They lost everything in the fire.

McCool says they could have died in the fire, but the little girl woke up and saved the family.

If you want to help the Kenny Thomas Family, they are accepting clothing and monetary donations. You can send it to the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church at 594 McCool Rd, Gordo 35466. Make the checks out to the church, put in the subject line "Kenny Thomas Family."

For those who wish to give clothes, their sizes are as follows:

Kenny - shirt 2XL, pants 40 waist 30 length, shoes 10

Hannah - size 12 shirt/pants, shoes 4

Hunter - shirt 7 or 8, pants 8 slim (possibly a 7 or 8 regular as well), shoes 2

McCool says the kids and Kenny are doing well, they are just really shaken up.
