MLK's daughter to attend ceremony for unveiling of historic marker

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

A week from today marks the exact 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's historic "Letter from a Birmingham Jail," and the city of Birmingham is planning to mark the occasion.

Mayor William Bell announced today the city will unveil a historic marker at noon next Tuesday, April 16.

Dr. King's daughter Bernice King will speak at the event. Governor Robert Bentley is also expected to attend and speak at the ceremony.
