State troopers have released the identities of two people killed Friday, April 5 in a multi-vehicle wreck in Blount County.

The crash involved four cars and happened on Highway 75 near Wood Road about five miles north of Oneonta. Officials say it occurred around 2 p.m. Friday.

State troopers identified the victims killed as Bryan Keith Reese, a 22-year-old from Red Bay and Paul Marin, a 31-year-old from Boaz. Troopers say Reese was driving a 2003 Chevrolet and Marin was a passenger in that car.

Officials say the 2003 Chevrolet collided with a 2005 Toyota Corolla. Two people inside the Corolla were injured in the crash and transported to St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham for treatment. There is no update on their conditions.

A 2008 Jeep Cherokee and 2008 Ford F-150 were also involved in the wreck, but no one was injured in those vehicles.

State troopers say they are still investigating the wreck.

The wreck was the first of two deadly wrecks last week in Blount County. Two teenagers were killed Saturday night when the car they were in collided with another car on County Road 39.
