Attorneys for the estate of Natalie Baine have filed a lawsuit against those involved in the wreck that led to the University of Alabama student's death.

In a press release issued on Thursday, attorneys with Beasley Allen say they have filed the suit in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County. The suit alleges "negligence, gross negligence and wantoness that resulted in the wrongful death of Natalie Baine."

While returning from the BCS National Championship game on January 8, the car Baine was traveling in collided with a charter bus and another vehicle. Baine died from injuries sustained in the wreck.

Plaintiffs in the case include the student who was driving the vehicle, another student who owned the vehicle, the bus driver, the bus company and the woman driving the second vehicle.

"I didn't know Natalie, but I've learned a lot about her since I've begun my representation of her family," Chris Glover, one of the attorneys who filed the suit, said in the press release. "She was an incredible girl who was loved by so many. Her life had so much promise and it was stolen from her far too early. It shouldn't have happened nor should she have died that night. Careless mistakes and foolish choices have consequences in life. We will do everything we can to hold those responsible for the death of this precious young woman."
